Tasting Notes

This Pinot Noir offers delicate aromas of red cherry, raspberry, and rose petals. The palate is light-bodied yet flavorful, featuring red berry fruits, subtle spice, and fine-grained tannins.

Winemaking

Grapes were destemmed and fermented in open-top fermenters with gentle hand plunging. The wine was matured in French oak barrels (15% new) for 8 months to retain fruit purity and add complexity.

Vintage Report

The 2023 vintage faced significant challenges, including record rainfall from September to December, leading to increased disease pressure and reduced yields. However, the cooler season contributed to Chardonnay batches with great flavor intensity and complexity, and Pinot Noir wines, though lighter in weight and color, displayed complexity and promise for the future.
